The banker rings and says that Lisa's win today means he has given away over £36 million since the show began - £36,002,353 to be exact!

Boxing Day players have been a bit luckier than Christmas Day ones overall, and Lisa may have had more luck in the first 4 rounds than the last 3 players put together. The 8-box deal was a bit cautious, but then the odds were that at least one big number was going to go alongside some of the backup, so I guess it could be questioned how much there would have been to gain at 5-box. Either way, a good pick-me-up for this week. Hopefully we'll finish Ideal Christmas with another ideal result for tomorrow's player too.

That's a total of £30,101 this week. Pretty low :|

A cautious deal but when you have a player with such an infectious bubbly personality like Lisa, who can argue with a £20k+ spanking (especially after the previous 3 games).

Surprised no-one commented on something else during the show though. ;)

I don't think the new set was shown on the Christmas Star promo - I think it was just Noel outside dressed as security. However if you go onto the official site and hover over Patrick's picture, I'm assuming that's part of the new set behind him...

Today it was. But only slightly. Didn't get to see the board or the wings. Just Noel, the table, the pilgrims and some jazzy stairs that light up

Lisa was a very bubbly engaging contestant. Once Noel made the Dawn French connection though, I couldn't get it out of my head. Close your eyes and it could have been her.

Not that cautious a deal considering there were only three boxes higher and it's always good to know a player hasn't been suckered in by the 5 box twist regardless of what goes first. And as it turned out, perfectly timed, nothing like a spanking to lift the spirits after such a frustrating run of games
