Pete's game today.

Reverend Noel welcomes us to Christmas Eve on Deal. He says Rachael had a difficult game yesterday, but still got some consolation prizes, including a holiday to St Lucia. We see a replay of her playing the parcel stacking twist game.

They're certainly getting their money's worth with that male voice choir. Doesn't seem like long ago they were singing Monster Mash!

Good luck to Pete. Let's hope he's sprightly enough for the racing around in the twist.

I see the Dealfest-style headlines are back too!

Pete has Box 4.

Peter Burton, from Worcester, originally Preston, a retired inventor. He has a photo of himself with a robot he built to do the washing up, but it didn't do it! The robot is now being used at a university in Poland. He considers himself a quirky British eccentric, and is proud of it! He has a selection of photos of his children and grandchildren; two of his daughters are in the audience.

Here we go...

Round 1

Pete has an amazing system: random numbers!

Box 2 with Kim - 50p

Noel reminds us of how Pete kept predicting he'd have the penny on the wings, and was never right until yesterday!

Box 1 with John - 1p :D

Find the 10p now, says Noel.

Box 16 with Jamie - £20,000

Box 22 with Kelly - £5

Box 8 with Sarah - £100

Banker time...

That random works, says Noel, and he wonders why no-one has used it before! The Banker has been looking forward to Pete's game, as he is eccentric, but wise.

Banker's offer:

£13,000

That's brilliant, says Pete, but there's still plenty of blues to hit.

Pete says:

NO DEAL

Noel calls a break...

We get today's first plug for the competition for the Barbados holiday.

Hopefully Pete has the board to win big money on, as judging by what he said so far there's a good chance he'll take advantage of it. :smt023

We're back...

Pete tells of how he met his wife online, long before online dating became popular. He then asks if Noel has applied for his bus pass! He has a rail card, which he doesn't use.

Round 2

Box 21 with Pedram - £10,000

The newbie is Laura from South Wales! :eyes:  The Banker wants her thrown out!

Box 20 with newbie Laura - £250,000 :(

The Banker says Laura can stay! Noel says that's two games in a row the newbie has had the Jackpot!

Box 19 with Kash - £500

Banker time...

Newbie Laura from South Wales having the £250k. Most ironic thing ever.

The Banker reckons he might be reaching for the presents under the tree early in the game! He mentions some of the prizes today include a tablet computer, a trip to Alton Towers, and some sprouts!

Banker's offer:

£7,000 + ONE GIFT FROM UNDER THE TREE

The offer graphic yesterday IIRC showed the gift offer in lower case print, today in capitals...

Round 3

Box 6 with Harry - £50

Box 10 with Lisa - £100,000 :(

That is truly uncomfortable, says Noel.

Box 5 with Lily next, but Noel calls a break first...

Considering the presents were offered yesterday when the stake level of the game was in the hundreds of pounds, they should hardly affect Pete's judgement of the offers as long as the big money is in play.
