Ooh my word, says Noel. The Banker is not convinced Trev would've picked the newbie in LIVE play. He was going to offer the DFKATBG, but he's not going to now after that.

Banker's offer would've been:

£14,000

Noel reveals £50,000 in Trev's Box 4. :(

It was your day, says Noel.

Box 11 with Lisa contains the £10.

Trev thanks everyone, and has enjoyed the experience. :D :smt023

True, but was there just a hint of irritation from Noel and the banker about him picking the newbie in the proveout in round 5, something he said at first that he probably wouldn't have done?

The big money was missed out on again, but it was only available to aggressive players (i.e. ME, but sadly I would've swapped :( ) with today's finish and offer plus the player forced a generous offer out of the Banker earlier that he sensibly dealt so no complaints from me. :smt023

Doesn't quite make sense that he wasn't offer the undeal given that had he not gone to Sasha's box in proveout - he may have picked a higher amount left on the wings but I doubt he would have taken the gamble anyway so no real damage done.

A few of us who were once part of the furniture, once stalwarts of the grand and extravagant, exuberant and thriving forum, have receded back into the walls, still faintly visible, still here as poignant, reminding relics of an era gone by; but most of us have vanished, forever immersed in the mists of time.

Ah the perils of not playing on with honesty. I suppose if we assume Trev would have left the newbie till the end in live play, then it would have made very little difference to the final two (£100-£50,000 as opposed to £10-£50,000) so the offer would have been the same

I think the moral of this story is that if you are going to play on with dishonesty it's best not to draw attention to yourself, so try to avoid phrases like 'Curse of the newbie' and 'death box' Common sense really

I've noticed lots of players taking out 22 after a deal yet Noel never makes a fuss about it.
