Paul and his fiancee talk it over. Paul says it's all or nothing, and it's a great opportunity; his fiancee doesn't want him to win nothing, and keeps reminding him of the £8,500 he has.

Paul says:

NO DEAL

He keeps the £8,500.

Noel reveals £35,000 in Paul's Box 18. :(

It's family influence that just kills this show. :smt011

But £100 is not worth the risk anyway. ;)

Paul's fiancee says he's done amazing, and Paul agrees.

Box 3 with Shola contains the £100.

Noel says that final decision was such a difficult one. Paul says £8,500 will change lots for him and his fiancee. :D :smt023

Yep, people should bring along family members who have a similar mentality to Paddy's mum. :D

Just like Winnie, a perfectly reasonable deal but bad box result.

Decisions at 5-box and BG that were arguable either way. I certainly wouldn't have criticised someone going for the £35k today but neither would I criticise anyone who decided to take the money.

And if Paul had gambled and won £100, someone would be moaning that they shouldn't listen to relatives who advocate taking risks they didn't want to.

Well I suppose team-player can justifiably complain about a proveout that doesn't result in a spanking. If he had gone for the BG, would he have been offered the swap? Most likely. If that had been honestly reflected and taken in proveout, then we would have had the feelgood ending craved here.

A couple of tough decisions for Paul there, and for all the criticism he's getting for not bagging the £35,000 let's not forget that £8,500 wasn't exactly easily come by, After all the heavy damage Paul inflicted in the first half of the game it was a bit unfortunate that he should have £35k in his box

Everyone moans about everything regardless of everything or anything else. If there's one thing we've learned in 7 years here.... :smt009 :P

A few of us who were once part of the furniture, once stalwarts of the grand and extravagant, exuberant and thriving forum, have receded back into the walls, still faintly visible, still here as poignant, reminding relics of an era gone by; but most of us have vanished, forever immersed in the mists of time.
