Ratan's game today.

Noel is pleased that people have been enjoying the highlights compilations at the start of games; we get one of these for Dot's game yesterday.

Ratan has Box 19.

Ratan Singh, from Newcastle, a mental health nurse. He has a photo of his family; his wife is in the audience. He also has a small model of a sleeping baby.

Ratan is happy with that. The Banker says Julian's Frank Bruno impression was the worst he's heard; he does one of his own! He likes Ratan's family photo, and points out that one of Ratan's sons has an evil look on his face!

Banker's offer:

£11,750

Ratan says he's seen many games go pear-shaped.

Ratan says:

NO DEAL

Noel calls a break...

I actually don't mind them. Would be a lot more annoying if they were £X,630 offers!

What in world does pear-shaped mean? :blueponder That's one term Noel uses that I have never understood.

We're back...

Round 2

Box 6 with Gary - £750

Noel finds a £20 note in Ratan's pocket; Ratan jokingly claims he was planning to bribe the Banker!

Box 18 with newbie Loreen - £250,000 :(

That is a great shame, says Noel, who had a feeling about Ratan.

Box 13 with Junie - £20,000

Banker time...

Pear-shaped is just another of saying something going wrong.

I wonder if the rest of the offers are going to have '20' in them after that bribe.

Not the way back after the £250,000, says Noel. The Banker remarks on the recent run of players having the £250,000 on their first game. He says he loves that Ratan had £20 with him, and wasn't trying to hide it!

Banker's offer:

£1,000, or £5,000 if Ratan gives the Banker the £20 note!
