I'd have taken that £2,000 offer. It was a very good one for the board at the time.

Box 1 with Lewis contains the 10p.

Lee says he just had no luck, and he picked the wrong boxes, but he's thankful for what he has. Noel reveals Lee's holiday to be a week's holiday for two to the Dominican Republic! :D :-D

A nearly unavoidable trainwreck today. :( Hopefully this doesn't influence tomorrow's player.

A luxury holiday and £250 spending money is more than most contestants on any other daytime show win (albeit mainly because the median win on most of them is £0).

The only viable escape route was £2,000, and with the one-box rounds and the stake level, it's hardly a surprise he didn't take it.

He is such a great guy, and now a good friend :)
So genuine, and as you mentined, 'hats off to deal', was very nice of them to make it special for him.

:D

So the 5 box twist is harder than it looks.

A very unlucky game in terms of the boxes but I think the holiday more than made up for that. very nice of the production team to give him the holiday he wanted

In the heat of the moment, declining £2k with one to open probably seemed an easy gamble, particularly after gambling on a precarious board worked out so well for Gareth.

In an ordinary week that would have been by and large a trainwreck that only the most cautious of players would have avoided (with the 5-box likely to be much less of a decision), so a holiday and £250 spending money isn't anywhere near the bad result it could have been for Lee.
