The way she kept thinking of the offers... if she had an offer in five figures, she probably would have dealt.

Another unlucky game. Not much more to say. £1,313 wasn't a bad offer, but nothing wrong with gambling it due to the low stakes. Just pure bad luck.

Box 22 with Betsy contains the £250

Shan says she's gutted but she's happy to have had the experience of playing the game.

Trainwrecks are avoidable, you know. It's called "dealing an offer."

And if she'd have dealt £1,313 or £801 and had the £10k, you'd be criticising her for dealing too early. ;)

You know you are having horrible luck when all of the Power 5 is gone by 14-box. :smt009

Second unavoidable trainwreck in a row. :(

Shame about the game. Some games are just unavoidable A-Stock wrecks.
It's just like life. We have good days and bad days. You could avoid the bad days but it takes a lot of hindsight to do so perfectly.

Enjoy £100! You won more money than I have in the Bank! :smt046

When she completed that ghoulish 2nd round, you couldn't possibly blame her for hoping that somebody would pull a Tom Grimes and knock a box open onto the floor, prompting a restart to the game.

As it is, we had another disgusting state of affairs unfold. The blood is on the network's hands for showcasing it.

Just a note on this, the end money tree on that goes £100/£250/£500/£1k/£2.5k/£10k, doesn't it?

Shan had 4 of those values at 5-box today! :eyes:

I don't care what team hindsight says that trainwreck was unavoidable and there was no shame in going to the end. There was no coming back from those opening 2 rounds, no unless Shan had had a red in her box which sadly she didn't.
At least £100 is proper folding money which is more than Mike won

That game was a real shame. She was actually a really nice person in the studio. I remember watching the second round in the studio thinking what were the odds of taking them out consecutively, and now we know it's over 1/4000. Amazing.

Anyway, £100 isn't shabby for the game she had really. Could have been worse.

Yeah, taking them specifically in descending order would be 1 in 4,080. Astonishing, and it must clearly be gutting for a player having waited ages to play to get that unlucky - much like Mike yesterday. But what's particularly noticeable about this current bunch of players is that they are fully embracing the experience, and although we've had terrible games luck-wise the last few days, the positivity has remained, which is very encouraging :D

Shame there, real shame. That said, £20,000 after that round was still a lot of money to go for. The game isn't completely over as soon as the P5 are gone...but it does depend, I suppose, on how we individually value money.

Advice for £300? I can understand why. It's not nothing. £1,313 was a decent offer I thought, in the circumstances, though we could've been here again with the "round figures" debate, and I'd still be endorsing multiples of £100 as always.

After the initial setback of the £100k, £75k and £50k going, followed by blow after blow in each further round...I'd agree this was an unavoidable trainwreck. Sad to see things like this happen, but that's the game for you and hey, we do need these times in order to counteract the massive spankings that we can celebrate even more.

Should've gone at £5,000. ;)

Another unavoidable trainwreck  . I think the banker should do what he did often from 2008 to 2010 in games like this, offer a special opportunity. For instance he could of offered the swap at 2 box and if he had £250 he would leave with £1,250 but if he had the £100 he would leave with nothing. I guess the banker was still too depleted after Janaba's and Kerrie's games to offer something like that to her and/or Mike.
