I honestly feared he'd put it over the £20k. Thank goodness he didn't.

Round 6 - proveout

At the moment, we're OK, says Noel.

Box 10 with Steph - £100,000 :D

Box 4 with Bronwyn - 10p

Noel says this is a real teaser of the game.

Box 20 with Louise - £1

Banker time with £3,000 and £35,000 remaining.

You'd have been guaranteed £3,000, says Noel. Paulina says it would be £4,000! The Banker says he is worn out!

Banker's offer would've been:

£17,500

Well, even if she misses out on an additional £14,000, £21,000 in the hand ain't much to sneeze at. In fact, that's a pretty decent haul on this show.

Paulina says the sum she had in mind is still on the board!

Noel reveals £3,000 in Paulina's Box 6! :D

That's my favourite proveout since Baz's over a year ago.

A third-round OPW? Fantastic :D!

Congrats to Paulina, and enjoy the money :smt023.

Somewhere, Dan Judge, the inventor of the third-round OPW, is smiling ;).

Box 12 with Mike contains the £35,000.

Paulina is so tired! Noel cannot believe that the Banker will make one of those bets again! The Banker calls, and agrees!

Paulina's total winnings are £21,000! :-D

Are you kidding me? The FD on that board is £12,312.95!

That was my last show for definite and it was certainly a good one to finish on !

The overly dramatic hyping of Paulina's ''immense courage and determination'' did its best to make me switch over, compounded with Jean's attempt to start a blue chant and more 'stating the obvious' advice from the fellow wingers. But I'm glad I stuck it out as that result has now shut up everybody, including (for a bit at least) Edmonds.

Could a miracle happen and that Mark, BankerSpanker and Charles could lose interest and stop tuning in as well ? Well, we can only dream...

So, enjoy the £21,000 !

£14k? £18k? £20k? £20k? £10k? £17,500?

What on Earth was going on?

I’m all for a bit of theatrical stuff, you know, the odd “he’s scared of you...” or such things – but to mess with the game in that way, inflating the offers to March 2007 level?

Astonishing, to me.

Mind you, it’s not every day we see a third-round OPW (even though we’ve had one in recent weeks...). Enjoy the £21,000 Pauline...if you call that “life changing” money...

And how unfair was that to everyone who's ever played/ever will play the show EVER? I think literally every single offer was highly inflated due to the fact that she "won £1,000 prior to her show". What a load of actually b*llocks. Noel blabbering on p*ssed me off too...

What about Ollie's game? He got some insanely generous offers and he didn't have any extra money.

There's no logic for the offer patterns sometimes. Although if every player got that sort of pattern if the low blues were removed from the board permanently, there might be a case for that happening.

A 3rd offer OPW which was absolutely 100% the right decision for her at the time and could be argued that statistically it wouldn't be the worst deal on the board with all those low blues and a 50% chance of taking out 1 of the 2 6-figure sums.

Contender for game of the month already.

Great game. Paulina's main problem was that she stripped out the middle of the board meaning the game was likely to swing to one extreme or the other. A £20k 3rd offer deal was more than justifiable under the circumstances

You must be the worst board reader ever, you expected the governer to be offered at the third offer after the £75K has been taken out and the four smallest of the banker's power five remain?

Let's hope the £250,000 goes in the next round.

It is very naive of you to think that every third round deal is some terrible crime. If only you understood how generous that £20K offer was, then you would not fault that decision at all.
