I think that £5K is to be considered, but he was a bit quick to ask for the question.

£1,000 isn't a bad offer really.

Round 6

The banker rings and says he knows Bert can play Auld Lang Syne and he feels Bert is an old acquittance who won't be forgotten, so he can proceed one box at a time.

£500 is not what I'd be celebrating as that was the SECOND highest left!

Hmm, I wouldn't give £500 that much applause given it's the second highest sum there.

And £2,500 is another decent offer.

£2,500 is a very good offer for the board!
75% of the mean.

Bert says he's at the position where he'd be silly not to accept. He asks for the question and the banker rings, and says he's an excellent reader of people. He says he has a feeling Bert's going to deal which is an excellent decision, however if Bert opens a blue in the next box, the offer will double to £5,000. Bert's cleaner says that would pay for the wet-room, the driveway and the parachuting experience, and that he won't be able to do any of that if the £10k goes. Bert says he's going to be stupid!

Bert says

NO DEAL

If this is a blue... he's most likely dealing.

Well, given his age, I think we can forgive him for that no deal. Anyone else, and I'd call it into question.
