Chan is from Cardiff, where he has lived for 30 years, but he is originally from Sri Lanka. He is currently a mature student studying Chinese; he is studying to keep his mind going, apparently. We see a picture of Chan with his motorbike, which he acquired at age 79 (he is 83). He had a car crash about 8 years ago, so he thought a motorbike would be safer. Chan accidentally says he drove his bike for fifteen years instead of fifteen hours! He then proceeds to tell about how he got lost on his bike during a trip to Scotland.

Noel says it's only a one hour show, so we'd better move on!
