''And I love to live so pleasantly, live this life of luxury,
Blazing on a Sunny Afternoon...''.

Ah yes, Ray Davies' vibrant lyrics come to life on this most sunny of Winter afternoons. It is just before 13:30 and DOND, being consistant with the previous two weeks, is on at the ludicrously early time of the early afternoon. The viewing audience is expected to peak at 12.

Edmonds welcomes us into the dream factory. As I am resetting the internet connectivity, I am purposely missing his pre-game speech. I'm going to guess that it will include lots of talk of Mathew's game on Friday, the charming character that he was and the fact he achieved a feel-good £10,000 win.

Playing today is...

KIRSTI !!!

Kirsti Taylor is from Leeds. She is 20 and works in an American Diner. She has a lucky boyfriend called John, who is in the audience. She currently lives with her grandmother (?)

Kirsti sounds very, very similar to Helen Flanagan.

She tells us of her strong belief in paranormal activity and tells us that it's her dream to work as a 'ghost-busting' team. Noel talks about the history of the studio. It used to be a Paintworks Factory and was run by Thomas Gloss. He died in the factory in 1849.

Was all that a shaggy dog story ? I don't know, nor care.

There is a graveyard near the studio.

Housekeeping done, LET'S GO !

An all red start, but not a terrible one.

As an all red opening round goes, it was a low tariff one (well, as low tariff as all red openers go).

The Banker himself says that lots of people believe the studio is haunted.

The Banker has a surprise for Kirsti... we hear nothing more.

The offer is £6,500. It gets swiftly declined.

BREAK TIME !

Brand new comedy 'Kookyville' looks *beep*. Avoid at all costs.

ROUND 2:

...oh, wait there, surprise time. Ah, we hear some talk of ghosts from Mr. B.

Simon Bamfield from Bristol's Ghost Club walks into the studio. Lots more talk of ghosts. The lights go green.

What is this ?? Deal or No Deal, or sodding Afterlife ??

I'm zoning out. Wake me up when the lids come up...

I don't mind the odd bit of messing about but that went on a bit too long

Gorgeous young lady, but of course I already knew that as I have seen Kirsti in person on my last pilgrimage

For goodness sake, that ghost hunting nonsense was like something off some really bad ITV2 programme!

The Banker is commending Kirsti's fearlessness. (Is that a word ?)

The offer is now £8,000. The ghost-ometer is acting erratic since it was plonked next to Kirsti's box.

I think Noel *may* be playing this talk of 'spooky' for laughs now. I hope to god anyway...

Time for the answer... NO DEAL

Now we've got some more useless ghost banter. Urgh... I thought Donna was annoying...

Well, at least this is better than Jean's caravan stories.
