Or perhaps an editing mistake ?

'Fail' is a silly thing to say.

Great result! £10,000 was generous at 5-box having taken out the £75k. I thought the offer would've dropped to four figures.

And boy what a different outcome it would've been had he opened Sue's box earlier. I think it would've been game over.

Hey, that was a pretty good game. Not much for me to say here, other than the fact that the MarkBot 6000 is still broken - did it ever work properly? - and congrats to Mathew :).

I'm going to run a Google search for Dr. Jordy Birch's contact information, and ask him why his confounded android never seems to work, and what he plans to do about it. At this point, I'd rather have Marvin the Paranoid Android or even the dreaded Dimblebot - remember that crazy thing? - around here than the MarkBot 6000.

No.

6 years of unsatisfactory service. I must say, had there been payment for this most unorthodox of products, I'd be wanting the money back post haste. Blimey, I'd have wanted the money back for it in 2008 !

Is that a sensible deal with a fortunate proveout I see before me?

Had forgotten what one of those was.

£10,000 is a lot of money.

Yeah... in 1995.

Come off it ! This. Is. 2012. (you may or may not have read that in the tone of Gerard Butler) and we need some mega money wins.

I think Chan will give us an unlikely mega win. I only hope...

Well that was never a high tariff game, in fact second offer aside the offers were all pretty close together, so a good result from an unspectacular game.

Mathew did well, and so did newbie Hannah in that phone call with the Banker

Actually, £10,000 remains a lot of money, it's just that game show expectations are very different now compared to 1995. ;)

(In the DoND context, £10,000 is a narrowly below-average result, the long-term median win being about £12-13k if memory serves.)

Wow, wish I could casually dismiss £10,000 as a dispensable amount. Or has someone been taking lessons in trolling from a certain other member of the forum?

Any 5-figure offer on that board was probably worth considering, especially with 1p still in play, so an astute move by Mathew.
