It does not make sense to say you don't want to play at the moment because the £250K has come before to the table two times in a row when it was ages ago, and I really do not think that is what was said.

Sorry, I misunderstood you. What Noel actually asked was what were the chances of the £250k coming to the table 2 days in a row (which we all know is 1/22) and then implied that he wouldn't want to be playing today as it was unlikely that the £250k would come to the table twice (in other words, an Edmonds illogical intro)
