Funny how you never encourage anyone to deal when it is the sensible thing to do.

STOP... MESSING... WITH... THE... OFFERS!!
And breathe...

Now, I really think she should deal this. I wasn't expecting £20,000 on that configuration. That's a huge leap from £9,515!

Noel's little trick nearly always works, so she'll probably deal here.

Noel plays with the offer saying that it's £17k, then revealing that it's £18k, £19k before finally telling us that it's £20k.

Viv tells us again about her son Scott asking if she could pick her box and her daughter Gemma says that 7 is her lucky number.

Carl says that she knows what figures are in her mind and says that she knows in her mind what to do. Theo, the newbie says that it's a hot tub full of champagne.

Viv says:

Deal

64% of the average is pretty good for that board so I would certainly have gone there.

As to what she said about box 7, I sniff the Bankers Gamble...(hopefully)....

enough time left on the clock for it to happen.

Round 6 - Proveout Round

Viv says that she'd have left Box 2 to the end.

Box 22 - Hayley - £5,000

Box 4 - Newbie Theo - £50,000

Box 5 - Calvert - £50

Banker Time!

No, we do not want the Banker's Gamble for it would be reckless to take it as it always is.

Noel talks about the significance of Box 7.

Banker's offer would've been:

£27,777

Noel says that if it is £100k in her box, her son Scott will be impossible.

Noel opens Viv's box 7 and reveals 50p :-D

Mark with Box 2 has £100,000

Noel presses the button on Viv's grandson Josh's phone. He asks Viv who knows her target but she says that nobody else knows the target. He reveals that Viv's target was £20,000 :-D

Why do you always hope for the Banker's Gamble when you know full well there is almost zero chance that the player will take it?

You can count on one hand the amount of players who have taken it when there's a blue left and they've already dealt at 10K+.

I'm glad the Banker's Gamble is being offered less and less thesedays because it's a complete waste of time and it stops us from knowing how much the player's missed out on by not getting the final offer in live play.

Noel just reminded me of that! :laughing

That doesn't make any sense though. She had a target of £20k and she'd have declined £27,777?! WTF Viv? :ponder:

Haven't seen the show yet, but sounds like a sensible deal that was soured in the proveout (been a lot of those lately).

Can't find tomorrow's show in the listings at all; any ideas? :ponder:

Oh, and thank you to unclekevo for filling in today! :smt023

Incredibly, astonisingly, remarkably, you'd have been right in thinking she would've taken it. There's every chance, with what she said at the end, that she would have done.

Rare moment here, folks. Let Mark bask in minor glory for a few hours.

Oh mate, no-one's complaing, true. Because we're all keeping it bottled up.

You're like a bad smell that's been detected in a crowded public situation (let's say, a bus for example). Everyone is united in their repugnance at it, but no-one wants to the voice that points out the obvious.

That someone was me! Funny enough in the studio only me and one woman shouted an answer. On tv many more voices were heard!! Bit of good sound editing i think!!
