The Banker calls, and asks Mark if he fancies a bit of fun: if he no deals, and wins £500, he'll throw in the holiday 9an all-inclusive two week family holiday); but, if he has the £50, he will leave with NOTHING at all!

Noel says we could still have a happy ending here.

Mark says:

NO DEAL

I reckon the banker is telling the truth so I wouldn't swap here.

Mark says:

SWAP

Noel swaps Mark's Box 14 for Liz's Box 13.

The Banker calls, and says Mark has made a terrible mistake, and does he want to change his mind! Mark says he doesn't want to re-swap.

Noel reveals £50 in Mark's new Box 13! :(

The banker had lied all week and lied the last time he offered the double swap. I'd have been pretty confident the £500 was in the box today.

Mark becomes the EIGHTH player to leave with nothing. :(

Noel says the Banker told the truth when he told Mark not to swap.

Mark's original Box 14, now with Liz, contains the £500.

The other thing is did he not just have the option of playing for £500 or £50 as normal? It sounds like the only way out of the holiday or nothing was the deal the £199? NOT happy.

Agreed. Skill-based games (especially ones that seem almost impossible to succeed on) have no place in DOND.

As much I dislike the catapult, it's not going to go away. Since they invented it last year, this little contraption has been saving the show thousands of pounds and holidays.

Seemingly ironic, I said on twiiter I would deal the packet of roasted peanuts since it was worth more than the previous offer of 13p.

Looking on Facebook, a certain banned member said "he will bottle it" before the game started. Followed by "oh well tough" when it was revealed Mark won nothing.

The catapult thing has no place in this show, and should be burned in a bonfire. Yes, themed weeks are nice, but that does not mean that the rules should be mucked about with. Just stick to the basics, and play the game as it should be played - open boxes, get offers, and win (or lose) some money. Honestly, this has become completely stupid, and make the game look like a five-ring circus (obvious pun there).

You do realize the legal ramifications of this mess, do you? If some smart contestant who knows a thing or six about law ends up in a situation like this, he or she might be in the position to file a lawsuit. I don't know if they'd win, but I imagine that when the contestants sign a contract before going on the show, there is no "you can possibly win nothing" clause in said contract.

Well he had box 13 on Friday... £35,000. If he had played then, he may have gone for it depending on how the game went.

I don't think he can if he has signed a sealed contract to appear on the show stating they can make variations to the rules.

That's not how games work, you know. The producers need to stick to the rules that THEY created, and not decide to screw around with them when they feel like it. It makes the game seem rigged and unfair.

Same can be said for Big Brother.
