I hope that my comments on this game earlier have not given people the view that I'm criticising Sara. The offer was poor for the strength of the board, but the Banker offered it knowing Sara would take it, he didn't need to go much higher than that for a player like her, thus saving thousands.

But it isn't by ANY means a bad deal, the loss of the £250,000 means she would have to have played on for £50,000 to get past £27,500 again, and hitting the 30% chance of the 50k and 250k going obviously means she'd have dropped right back down again... it wasn't an impenetrable board.

Seriously, please if you ever get the chance to go on the live shows, in the last round, do not offer silly advice like a few of the pilgrims!!!

NO DEAL!

not really thinking while you were typing, once again...

1. if a show was "live", then it would be broadcast as it was being made, like that week of episodes a year ago (as well as every episode of the million pound drop and the first series of red or black?).

2. the pilgrims are the audience members - the 'silly' advice here came from the other contestants on the wings.

3. the offering of advice during the last round means that the contestant has no-dealt the 5-box offer - which sara did not do.

Its not a rubbish offer if it gets her out. The bankers job is to get the box for as little possible. If it works, its a brilliant offer!

seconded.

try telling that to winner...

Would never have been £68k... rubbish offer sdgthju

it might well have been, you know.

after all, who's to say that the banker won't offer £45,000 again if a contestant has the laura finish in live play?

you just don't care...

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR... again! :smt023

explain why she is a loser?

there are far, far worse things to do on national television than sell the £250,000 box for a considerably lower amount of money...

and, in my honest opinion, that smiley is completely inapproriate for such a remark.

i'll say it once again... you just don't care.

(and that smiley is perfectly appropriate.)

Don't beat yourself up??? Come on Noel, if you lost £223k in 47 secs you might cry as well!

no, he bl00dy well wouldn't.

surely you know that he's worth millions?! especially after having been on television and radio for over 40 years?

if you don't... then i feel sorry for you.

also, explain how sara lost £223,000, and did so in 47 seconds?

firstly, she did not lose any money by underselling her box. she missed out on more money, but she did not lose any.

secondly, it was £222,500 she missed out on, not £223,000.

and thirdly, you simply can not time how long it takes for a contestant to miss out on more money.

Poor strength on behalf of the player again, poor communications from the others... just got to play the boxes not the advice

and a poor description there, I think.

and another poor choice of smiley.

(that choice of smiley there wasn't.)

Two things about comments above make me realise how far some posters are from reality. She DIDNT lose £222,500. She lost THE CHANCE to gamble for that. What she DID do was WIN £27500 she didnt have when the game started.

She could have had more, but at the time she took the deal, she knew that no more than any of you lot did.

totally agree.

not that winner seems to care...
