Good job it doesn't.

And this was exactly the sort of game Mark loves wasn't it?

Not when big money is blown away. Sometimes in life if you want BIG money... then you have to take a big gamble.

Fact is there was no way Elaine would have won the £250k,

How do you know? IF she was offered the Bankers Gamble... she may have accepted.

but without the benefit of hindsight that was still a good deal

Yes, because I am honest and I speak my mind of how I see the game.

Guys, please! Why are we still moaning about this game more than a day after it has gone out?

We really should just move on from this unfortunate game, and focus on what comes next.

Mark is correct. Garbage deal. £20k at 8 box with £435k left in the game?

I agree but there's ways of putting your point across without antogonising everybody else.

If you cannot no deal with an offer less than half the mean and the top 3 in play, you really don't deserve to be there. At this rate people are going to start taking the first offer and I'll be reaching for the remote.

Jeez, it is a pre-requisite of people who have Wakeyist tendencies to be really bloody rude as well?

People have the right to "deal" or "no-deal" every offer as they wish to. They don't deserve to get a pile of abuse just becuase someone disagrees with them!!!!

If you're going to have a gripe, blame the production team for picking cautious players, not the players themselves!!!

I was out at a Summer show on Tuesday, so I'm glad I wasn't here to find an argument straight after another cautious deal.

£20k does seem to be the standard amount for a player to deal these days (let alone the old faithful), cause it's normally seen as "the rock" that looks over the power five. Whilst you gamblers would think that dealing £20k, with huge amounts still on the board is a big error, not everyone else is going to agree with you (I learnt that a long time ago). Different people have different sums of money they want to have in mind and we should ALL respect their goals and choices.

Now in regards to this game, I don't agree with the deal, but that doesn't mean I should complain or be rude about it...like I am seeing here from one or two.

John are you not going to tell us your name for the 1p 250k finish? I'll guess a couple probably rubbish ones mind: penny or confetti finish, top or bottom, all or nothing. :blueponder

The show needs a long rest. Remember when "Millionaire" first started? It was on every night. What happened?? The show suffered from overkill and dropped down to what we get now; a short season every now and then. Deal, for me, is now in that overkill boat. I still like to see it but it has become predictable.

That's a good point. I still think the lack of a Summer break this year may prove a hinderance in the future. Obviously, I do enjoy the show, but there is such a thing as having too much of it.

Agreed. The show can be heart stopping when contestants take a few risks. For me the whole ethos changes. If they are predictable I run it through on x6 (Sky Plus) BUT if they are taking a chance I hit the slow motion as the lid rises to enhance the reveal moment. I know not everyone is like the wheelchair climber (Dale?? He was batsh1t insane) but we were both in tears when he won. And more importantly, I cared whether he won or not. I desperately WANTED him to win. And, personally, I need to see a show like that now and then to keep me coming back for more...

Dale played the game the exact way it should be played... grabbing the one and only chance of getting life changing money... i.e. one of the power five.

Dale only got a power 5 because there was one in his box, what about the players who DON'T bring a power 5 to the table.
Mark, your view of the game is far too blinkered

Anyone who watched Dale's show live (like myself) will tell you that his final no deal was not an easy, instantaneous decision for him.
