I really do have a qualm with people saying they NEED the money. They may well but if they don't reveal that and say that they WANT the money then the Banker is more inclined to think they just may go for it and will offer a higher amount accordingly.

To be honest, that was poorly played - if you're going to take £4k on that finish you ought to have dealt earlier, in my book. Flipside of that is that it would have been very easy to feel the need to play on at the end in order to chase the OPW!

All-or-peanuts finishes have a tendency to focus the mind and draw out Deals, that's for sure.
