Definitely one deal too early for the board but can see why he took it.

Absolutely ridiculous prove-out offer though.

PHEW!!!!!!

But should have gone on one more round then more than likely he would have gone at the offer.

Box 5 with Bobby contains the £75,000

Jay says he's in complete shock but has had the greatest time.

Another cautious deal, but an understandable one seeing as only the £75,000 was higher. Unlucky to avoid it in the proveout.

I'm seriously getting fed up of these crappy offers being dealt. £6,555 was rubbish.
It's been too long since a Power 5 win.

Last one was Tony (or Louis Walsh if you include the Celebrity shows).

We've had longer periods without one.

I was thinking the banker's threat to Jay of forcing him to the end if the £75k went was actually a lot less sinister than it sounded - if it did go, you'd have a £20k-high board (which never gets generous offers these days anyway) and the only final 2 you'd really be hoping for a dealable offer on would be blue/£20k - which was unlikely given the blues were all quite low.

The last part was quite unlucky in many ways - taking out 2 of the top 3 in round 5, dealing then missing the £75k in proveout. The £6,555 was cautious with both the £3k and £5k there - but then if I had 2 jobs and a baby on the way, perhaps I'd be thinking differently. The 2-box offer was definitely inflated too - I'd have believed it if he'd left one of the reds there, but not 50p.

Jay looked rather strung out at the end of that. Good luck to him.

The 5-box offer wasn't horrible by any means - replace one orange with a blue and it's arguable either way. Reminds me of how Jimmy got £5,000 at 5-box with £75k but four blues - that wasn't a clear-cut ND until the (unaired) promise of a £25k 2-box offer for keeping £75k. Of course, the fact we got a hypothetical lie of even more than that today probably helped me remember that. £25,555 would have been in the right area with an orange kicker, but with a low blue kicker it's going to be sub-£20k.

A defensive play that was neither surprising nor unforgivable.

I hope Adam doesn't see that. What with him being 6ft 3 and all...

Oops, forgot about that one. Sorry Adam! :smt023

That was only a month ago though; there have been much longer runs than that (there was one of just over two months between Rich's game, and Gemma's).

Well it wouldn't have been too long if all three players last week (who had one of the power five) went all the way.

Or if Bill had dealt at £50,000. ;)

Slightly cautious deal, but not a stupid one. Shame Jay couldn't have found the £75k in proveout to justify his decision,

Just a little more that slightly, if the £75,000 had been in the box, it would have been very much cautious.

You do actually realise people don't actually know what's in the boxes when they make their decisions?

What do you think? Of course I do! Going on for another round then it would have most likely been a spanking.
