And that's the round survived. £8k and a Deal here?

That last box has made the Banker happy says Noel, as it is now all or peanuts. The Banker says that Kath is hanging on by her fingernails now.

Banker's offer:

£6,000

Noel says that is fair given how frightening this board is. Kath gets some advice from the wings.

Kath says

DEAL

Box 18 with Lynn contains the £1

Noel runs through all the offers Kath received and says it was never a mega money game. Kath says she will get the carpets for her house, but will have to try the lottery for her mobile home.

£6k also not unreasonable with a 60% disaster chance, and there we go! Nice escape. Would have hoped for more after rejecting a dealable £5k though.

At least she avoided a crash. An understandable, but perhaps cautious deal.

Well, I guess it was just my computer, then... :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes:

Now that I'm on another computer that does have Internet Explorer and Firefox running at the usual speed, I will say the following:

It looks like I got what I hoped for at the start of the game - Kath wasn't bluephobic (well, certainly not as much as Laura was), and while not everyone would have done the deal she did, it wasn't highly contentious.

:eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: ;)

I hope Noel or The Banker doesn't mention Sidney again tomorrow.

Also, I've noticed that DOND is no longer sponsored by Jackpot Joy now. Those annoying puppets are gone at last! :P

They were sponsored by them for a year. Contract expired on Sunday, before the Love Week started (I think).

Rather low key game. One definitely for the cautious players because statistically £6k was probably worth the gamble at 5-box given that you were probably looking at at least 3 times the offer for keeping the £100k.

Well £6k is better than a blue in anyone's book and as Noel pointed out that was never a big money game.
Statistically with a £99k drop from the biggest box to the first fall back there was nothing to stop the Banker going low. I'd probably define that as a pragmatic deal rather than a cautious one. And it proved prudent which is the most important thing.
