6th Anniversary of the first 1p win today, eh?

Was that the reason for the random showing of 1588 Bev's 1p winning game on the lunchtime showing on More4 today, do you think?

And yes, the last player to sell the 1p was indeed Hayley - a game which went through More4 only last week!!!

I've come to the conclusion they must think it's irrelevant to do the hypo-swap if the player's secured a spanking, or if they're left with two large amounts, both of which are way more than the deal and it's a huger banker win (like Frank for instance).

The banker says quite often on Twitter these days that they only do the hypo-swap if the player asks for it. Although I remember occasions in the past (excluding when the £250k is in the final two, when the swap is guaranteed anyway) where Noel's asked the player about the swap, even though they've given no indication that they would've swapped.

Sensible deal and we get an OPW from it. We seem to be in a sequence of players bringing relatively low amounts to the table, only one power 5 amount in the last 16 games.

We're also coming up to the 4th anniversary of £250k Laura! :D
Too bad that's a Saturday.

Yes, an enjoyable game to watch in the studio on what was the show's official 6th birthday - like the previous game I had seen there, it started with an all-red opening round, but recovered pleasingly to chunky money (actually both Russell and Amy-Jo's games were OPWs from all-red starts! :D ).

This was one of the quickest games I have seen recorded, barely 90 mins - maybe the crew were in a bit of a rush to celebrate Halloween and/or the show's 6th Birthday afterwards, as there were 3 shows rather than the usual 4 recorded in the day. Still, a fun game.

Brilliant game, a risky but not reckless gamble at 8 box, a sensible deal at 5 box and the perfect proveout. I love games like this, so satisfying

Bravo Amy Jo

Sensible deal at 5-box; I would have done the same, even with the offer at £18,000. Great proveout, just a shame she didn't mention a hypo-swap to make things even sweeter.

I sound like an OAP by saying this, but it really doesn't feel like 2007 is 5 years ago!

Proof that being brave and having faith in your lucky number can sometimes do no good at all. :laughing
