The banker laughs wildly down the phone. He says the good news is that Katie's business idea is brilliant, but he's patented it himself during the game.

Banker's offer:

£2

Noel says this has been relentlessly heart-breakingly unlucky.

Box 2 with Neville contains the £5

Katie says she played that rubbish, but she feels blessed because she still has a lovely family and has had a lovely time on the show.

Oh dear, an unavoidable trainwreck there. Just unlucky throughout really.

£3,250 was an unbelievably crap offer! With £100k there, I wouldn't accept anything less than £8k.

Also, I'm sick of Noel throwing people out now. It's getting old! :x

Katies doen't seem to have a very good record on DOND; of the four that have appeared, two have won one of the Banker's Power 5, and the other two undersold the 50k!

No matter how you slice it, it has been 5 for 5 victories this week for team banker. Thanks to some terrific acting and goading by Noel, Endemol (I almost said Edmonds!) saved a truckload of cash.

No mention of a hypo swap in any of these OBW's which *would* have made a huge difference to the outcome.

Monday. An amazingly cautious deal leading to an OBW of £86,250
Tuesday. A back seat driven cautious deal + Noels acting leading to an OBW of £235,000
Weds. A loud player who had just witnessed the £250k coming to the pound table, joining the 10p club.
Thurs. A more mediocre TBW of £11k. <edited. thanks James!>
Fri. A new member of the £1 club.

I wonder what Sunday will bring. Surely a OPW to lift the morale of the wings who have seen some shocking results this week.

Another example that great characters sometimes have awful luck. At least the game happened to someone who was always going to take this type of game in the best possible way.

Given Katie's real name is Caroline and she stood next to Caroline on the wings, is that the first time two people with the same name stood next to each other on the wings? The wrong one had the big money though. :(

And Norwich, Deal-Eye actually agreed with Monday's deal (NOT Tuesday's though! :) ), and Thursday was a TBW as she sold the box for a profit. Still a great week for you though. ;-)

Seconded.

Have to agree as well with norwichdonder - this is turning out to be the Banker's best week in quite a while... :? :?

And it wouldn't surprise me if viewing figures slide again as a result. :?

It wouldn't have been if the first two players of the week went all the way to the end.

I feel gutted for Katie today - a lovely lass, but she got a terrible set of amounts.

In that case, this would have been an astonishingly mixed week for the Banker - £350k in the first two games followed by £1.10 in two of the next three...  ;) ;)

Lucy's curse strikes again. 26 shows and Katie brings a blue to the table.

From hitting the jackpot in her very first boc selection Katie just didn't have any luck and was pretty much forced to the end by the boxes. Not a lot you can say about it really, bad luck happens but at least Katie was able to take it in her stride

Well, when you put it like that, it would be shocking if thats how it had panned out and I'd be joining you singing their praises, given Noels extreme attitude to acting it out on the side of Endemol. If only Sam and Geoff had OHO attitudes instead of playing it cautiously!
