A fascinating game today. Plenty of offers but until 2-box, there was never really a chance of going away with nothing (worst case at 5-box was low 5-figures on the £35k/£250 finish) so there was certainly a good case for no-dealing everything until 2-box.

I think I've found a new bugbear to replace the hypo-swap now - Noel's inability to remember (or laziness to ask) about the origins of Old Faithful. You'd think all the times he mentions it, he'd ask one of the production crew one day.

I think Smah played the game perfectly there, she went on when the board was in her favour but knew to cut her losses when she faced the al or nothign finish. I'm so glad she didn't take that final gamble, how heartbreaking would it have been to go away with £250 after playing that board?

The Banker was seriously stingy there though, the offers were insultingly low. I think he made the same assumption about Smah as he did with Sam last season, believing that because she had one eye on giving money to charity she would play the game more cautiously, and it had much the same effect, coaxing her on. He only got away with it because she had a blue in her box

Have to confess though, my fear of the all-blue opening round means i would have been seriously considering that first offer!

Wow that was mad today. Very enjoyable and it just goes to show ye, how quickly the game can change.

From having 4 of the power 5 at 5 box, she had the 1 remaining blue all along.

Enjoy the £20,000 Smah!

OH DEAR... OH DEAR... OH DEAR...

Should have dealt the £30,000 at 5-box.

Think that would have been a deal for me just about, would have gone on at £26,000 though.

WHAT!!!!!

As it turned out, that would have been one of the cleverest deals in the whole history of DOND - assuming, of course, the Banker wouldn't have said "I would have offered [something above £30k]" at 2-box.

But I bet Mark would still not have been happy...

   ;) 8)

I know it's against the public consensus, but I'd be scared of going away with a lot less. :P
