I may be in the minority but I think that these live games have been characterised by an excess of waffle early on and an undignified scramble at the end.

I mean, what was all that business with "The Banker" about?

It didn't help that Jade did not play that game quickly at all, indecisive with the box selection. Ironically that and the bonus offers actually helped her play to the end to win the £3k - she got carried away rushing through the closing stages and despite being very good at respecting the value of modest amounts, turned down near-mean offers twice!

Thousands of applicants for DOND and they pick someone who works about a mile and a half from the dream factory.

Strange pacing again today - just when they seemed to get things right, they go and waste time with fake audience members and strippers (actually talking to one of the security guards last week, I asked what they would do if one of the serial live TV streakers had decided to try and invade DOND during the live shows).

Frankly that 'Banker' hoax at the start was just wierd, I feel like we've been Gotcha'd (Actually what would have been really funny would have been if DLT had been under the mask - or maybe you have to be of a certain age to get that )

Jade did seem to dither a lot over the box selection. but there's no accounting for luck that bad. Once the game started to crumble there was no saving it. Why the Banker went one box at a time in that final round i'm not sure, seemed rather pointless as it seemed quite clear to me Jade had resigned herself to playing to the end.

I probably would have taken that last offer myself simply because i think the mean is too generous to turn down, on the other hand the figures involved were so low it doesn't really make that much difference

Jade came across as pleasant enough (if a little brash) and she's certainly popular with her supermarket colleagues, but boy do my ears hurt after watching that game.

The whole thing with the "banker under a cloak" and "pilgrim invading the set" was far too played out I thought - if that really had been the banker under that cloak, he'd probably have run off set as quickly as possible without giving anyone the chance to get near him.

By the time the clock was down to 10 minutes and we were barely at 8-box with 2 important rounds still to even start, I was just wishing Noel would let her get on with it. Good job she'd pre-selected the boxes she was saving or we could have run out of time! The only reason I can think of for the extra offers was probably to still give an element of tension to the game with £3k the highest sum in play (I wonder how many switched off when the £50k went).

Second day in a row then that the player is basically saved by a low red on the table. Happy that Jade got a good result but was also thankful for the silence after I turned the TV off.
