The Banker admits he wasn't expecting to offer more than £3,100. Noel hands Carole the phone over and she speaks to him.

Banker's Offer:

£6,200

I think that the £3,100 was better than the £6,200 in honesty... probably...

Box 16 is carried away and Box 20 is now on the table.

Carole now has Box 20 = £20,000!!! :D

Daniel Box 16 = 50p

Noel is so pleased for Carole. Carole says she's gonna use the money to take her children and grandchildren to Florida :D

Banker calls and says that because of her £20k win, she has broken the barrier of his money spent milestone of 25 million pounds! And finally he gives her a bunch of red roses...

Thanks to killersbee for doing the commentary today. :D

Incidentally, the total payout that they flashed up on the screen just now was:

£25,018,522.99

That was a great game like yesterday's. It did feel like she would keep the 20K to the end but the swap was exciting at the end.

Well what do you know! My commentary gave her the perfect ending to what was going to be a disaster! :-D

And thanks H, it was my pleasure. :biggrin

Great game! Fun banter from the wings, and a great result from what looked like a game that was heading downhill! Fantastic! Enjoy 20k Carole! ;)

And well done to KB for a good commentary! :D

LOL omg great turnaround :-D :-D Well can I have a slice of granary bread with the hat.
Interesting point about the £25million payout. That would have been a payout of £15,000 for each and every player so far. It does feel slightly on the high side when it seems there are so many blue wins or just a few grand payouts here and there. The early years with higher payouts must surely skew that a lot?

Cheers, despite the internet lag issue...and the fact that my PC was next door to my bedroom TV made it a bit tiring going back and forth in case I missed something :unsure

A textbook example of where targetism can be favourable. Another day she might have taken £20k on a strong board and been treated as overcautious. She knew what she wanted, and she got it - and that's two OPWs totalling £42k in successive games, always a good sign.

Wow, it looked like it was going to be a trainwreck but to get £20,000 out of that game is an excellent result! :D

Always nice to see a good turn around like that, and Carole thoroughly deserved the swing of luck at the end there. Mad logic regarding the swap, but it worked for her and we get an unlikely 5 digit spanking of the banker.
