When he offers three figures at this stage, you know it's not going well... :(

Nice little mention of Jim'll Fix It there.

Noel says Gillian has ambitions to DIY on their house, buy a new car, and go to New York. He says Gillian also wrote to Jim'll Fix It, but she forgot to post the letter!

Gillian says

NO DEAL

Noel says there's so little you can do when the player has bad luck like this. Gillian says £1,000 is a lot of money. Iain says there'll probably be a 3-2 split, and Lucy says there's another round in it.

Gillian says

NO DEAL

What a terrible offer! I know he went up but that's still 16% of the average.

Hey, £750 at 11-box was less than 10% of the average... ;)

It's the type of board where even 75% of the average (£4,700) might probably be no-dealt by most players. Still a chance of her getting an OPW out of this.

In this situation, £5k isn't a good amount to lose...

It's 7% chance of not hitting a red so if you are going to hit a red, might as well be that one.

...or £10k.

Might she have to go to the end now?

Toby says Gillian just has to keep one of the reds to get a better offer. Gillian says the £4,000 could get her to Disneyland.

Gillian says

NO DEAL

10% chance of £17k
60% chance of between £5k-£6k (assuming average generosity on the blue/red finish)
30% of nothing.

Might just be worth the risk in a low-money game but I wonder how the 2 bad prove-outs after deals might affect her decision. Deal wouldn't be bad decision here either.
