See, this is why hour long shows are annoying. Today's show just seem to drag on FOREVER! There was far too much unnecessary padding out. I thought Dom was going to deal at the third offer and I would've shouted the loudest "WHAT??!!!" you've ever heard, if he did that.

All the sighing today was VERY IRRITATING! :x

He may have gone at a dip in the game, but the crash was coming. A frustrating game in that it offered potential to be big before eventually becoming a slow trainwreck, but he got out partway through that process, which was something. I wouldn't have done...

Near enough perfect given most of the forum would have been unhappy (despite the stats) with him dealing the £16,000...the proveout offer was give or take the same after weakening the board before a total collapse so no qualms from me :)

Not the most engaging of games and depending on your POV Dom either went one round too soon or too late, but at least he had the foresight to get out before it collapsed completely, I think a lot of us would have come away with a blue from that particular game

I wonder who writes Noel's intros these days when he starts plucking random figures out the air as a new benchmark for the banker to offer contestants.

I personally don't mind seeing more deliberation of the offers when it clearly is one that gives the contestant problems - far better than offers seemingly being no dealt without much deliberation in the old version when deliberation was edited out.

Didn't the £16,000 relate to something in yesterday's show (which I missed)?

I think (and I might be wrong) that £16k came about through the idea that if the banker had managed to decrease the old 'governor' of £26k by £5k to £21k, then soon this would be replaced by a further decrease of £5k to £16k. I think that makes sense! :ponder:

I'm sure Noel has also gone on about £8,000, £7,500 and £16,500 being the "new governor(s)" at different stages in the last few years! They also often overlook the psychological power of the £20,000 - the £20,000 offer has probably got more people out of the chair over the years than £26,000.
