Al says it's fair, and the others say he should have a pop at it.

Al says

Round 6

3 - Kim - £1,000

19 - Ellen - 50p

The banker rings and says if this is £15,000 the offer will be £50, but if not, then it'll be £5,000.

22 - Carol - £100

Banker time with £5 and £15,000 remaining...

£5k is a reluctant deal for me here but there's also a case for taking the gamble here in a relatively low money game.

Noel points out how box 5 is left, and 5 is present in the values and offer, and Al says 5 is also his birthday. Al asks his fiancée what to do, and she says it's not up to her to say! Peter says he'd gamble and Alex says £5,000 is a lot more than some people have won in recent shows. Al's mum says he knows how upset Al would be if he won £5.

Al says

DEAL

Box 5 with Barbara contains the £15,000

Al says he feels really good about that decision now!

Well it's just about a TPW but a hard-fought one.

£5K is about 67% of the average so that is a good offer. Now I NEVER want to hear any more cow puns said on DOND again. They were so bad.

Hahahaha!

Not bad, not bad...especially when as far as the big money was concerned he had such atrocious luck :| £5,000 was better than his last three offers so great result really! :)

Do cows bleat? :ponder:

Anyway it's a shame the Müller cows no longer sponsor the show - it would've been quite apt for today's game!

You win some you lose some, and Big Al did well to milk £5000 from such an unlucky game

I think I worked out the odds of finishing with any two 'vertically symmetrical' amounts in a row to be only about 1 in 21, so not that amazing an occurrence really.

It's not often I can say I would've played exactly the same game in terms of picks, but today with Big Al was such a case, as with my lucky number 1 on the table, I would always keep box 5 to the end, and would've dealt at the £5k he did!

Let's hope we see a few more Al's with 'nicknames' appearing as contestants on the show (a genius could be interesting...)
