Charlotte goes to her boyfriend who thinks the same as Dylan. Charlotte asks the pilgrims for some help and they think she should play on and open box 16 next. Charlotte's mum tells her to go for it.

Charlotte says she feels a little sad that she didn't play on, but the £15,000 is the sort of amount she had in mind for her game and to help set herself up in life.

Being more brave and it would have paid off big time...

Wasn't going to get more than £21k without risking disaster. No shame in that result, and two middling wins to start a themed week is unusual but not unpleasant.

So, just because Charlotte dealt, Vicki doesn't get the holiday?! UNFAIR!!

Still, an average game, minus the theme twist

The board at 8-box reminded me of David (h2005)'s board at the same stage. Charlotte had £50k/£35k/£20k/£5k/£3k so it was a bit stronger than David's as he had £50k/£35k/£20k, but she was offered £6,000 and David got £6,500.

Goes to show the banker wasn't being that generous today, especially as he normally makes higher offers in themed weeks to stop the players using the twist, and he was also eager to get Charlotte to deal for fear of her having another big one.

On a regular game, that would have been a sensible deal but it was probably worth using the shield either at 4-box or 3-box today (with neither being the £50k or £35k, I don't think it would have made a lot of difference to the offer - the 3-box offer probably would have been a bit less).

This is probably a harsh remark, and possibly a controversial one too - but I am seriously considering putting this deal not all that far behind the likes of Richard's, Meena's and Sherilyn's among the most cautious ever.

Especially when she hadn't played the SOD yet (is this the first Love Week Special in which the player has actually dealt before playing the twist?) and even if she had then revealed the £50k she'd have probably still been offered around £10k.

And Vicki not getting the holiday because it wasn't live play has an ever-so-slight whiff of the rules being made up as they go along...
