Stu shouts in excitement, and Noel tells him to remember his original reaction when he thinks about the offer. He discusses it with his wife and seeks some advice from Vel who says it's a once in a lifetime chance. The banker rings up and says Vel's a terrible board reader too, and he says Stu will need to keep the £75k and £250k to get a bigger offer as there is a ladder of reds and it can get unstable very quickly. He reminds Stu of Adam's game crash the other day.

Noel says he thinks the banker is actually playing fairly today. Noel makes a joke about how long Stu's taking to decide, and the banker rings back and says he appreciates what Stu's been saying and respects him for his honesty.

There's also a NEW offer!

Banker's offer:

£25,000

The banker rings back and says he's definitely not going up any further, and he's seriously angry as he saw Stu wink at the west wing!

Stu says

DEAL £25,000

Worth at least another round, I've a feeling he's gone way too soon.

We get to see an action replay of Stu winking at the west wing, and they say he grifted and conned the banker.

Noel says he'll ask Stu whether he was going to deal £22,500 anyway.

Noel calls a break.

Well it remains to be seen but he only needs to reveal 250k to, as the banker said, be forced to go all the way to the end. I think Id take £25k with that board as I could do a lot with the money, but then thats not the mentality to win £250k is it....

We're back

Round 5 - proveout

Stu admits that he was going to deal £22,500 so the banker has paid out £2,500 more than he needed to!

13 - Dom - £750

21 - Ade - £250,000

Ade rushes out to give Stu a kiss and Stu continually shouts "YES YES YES".

8 - Big Al - £35,000

Banker time

Noel says Stu's deal was good. The banker says he can't believe Stu played for time there and got extra money!

Banker's offer would've been:

£15,000

The banker reveals that Stu's wife whispered "don't let him make you swap" and the banker talks about the banker's gamble.

Banker's offer:

BANKER'S GAMBLE

So far this season, the bankers gamble hasn't been accepted. Hopefully today it will change.

Here's hoping someone will remind him what he had yesterday, the £75k.

Hopefully he has got the bottle to go for it.

Stu says he thought he'd win £75,000. Peter says he has to make sure he can swap before making a decision. The banker phones back and says he's decided whether or not to offer the swap but he won't tell Stu yet!

Stu says

NO DEAL

He keeps the £25,000

The banker rings back and says he wouldn't have offered the swap as he's a winker too!

Stu has £75,000 in his box 19

Noel goes back to Stu's comment about winning £75,000.

Box 5 with Phoenix contains the 10p

Stu says he's a bit disappointed but he can now fulfil some of their dreams with his £25,000.

Well he did thought he would win £75k. If it was his game yesterday, he would have done. Same goes for today.

Should have been a lot more brave, but it's a lot to risk.

Someone should have reminded him what he had yesterday, then more chance he may have gone for it.

As if the Banker wouldn't offer the swap. If he said Deal, then I bet it would've been offered and Stu surely would've swapped.

Oh, and do we have a £250K post-deal Kiss now?

After so many games where caution paid off, the cycle was bound to be broken eventually, although it would have taken a pretty mad gamble to get £75k from that game, and at least Stu took the highest offer (I doubt the 2-box one would've been any more than the 8-box one).

Good job we had Dolly's game inbetween this one and Adam's, methinks.

And considering £25k on a 10p/£75k finish would be really generous (even £75k Lynne wasn't offered that much!), I don't blame him at all for turning down the gamble.

I'd have declined the Gamble too; given Phoenix's LONG run of reds until today...just Sod's Law he had 10p instead of the £75,000...and if the Gamble had been taken he'd have had the latter!!! :|

Sensible deal at 8-box. 5-box offer was a bit inflated (would have been closer to £10k in live play) and the 2-box offer was spooky.

It's exactly a year to the day that Justin accepted the BG on the exact same finish (albeit for £6,500 less than Stu had today) and also had the £75k in his box (although that was in Love Week which starts a week later this year)
