This could be a tough decision. Expect close to £30k now.

Wow, you have to feel pleased with that says Noel. The Banker talks about Neil the last police dog handler on the show and how he also had 4 of the power 5 at this point and he dealt and then went on to take out the top 3 in the next round.

Banker's offer:

£26,000

Average ~£60k now.

I'm taking £30k+. Bit more hazardous now. That said, the worst case scenario does leave us with a not too unreasonable 5-box.

£26k i'm not even thinking about. This just shows that even though the board is getting better and better the offers are not.

£26k is too low for this board. Worth the gamble.

That is very interesting says Ian, and he is just about to say he was expecting a little more, but the Banker calls and interupts him. The Banker says that at the moment Ian does have the power, but if Ian has the slightest slip he will then have control, he then asks to speak to Ian. Ian tells him that £26,000 is a good sum of money, but if he was sat at home watching he would expect a higher offer, and would think the offer would be around £30,000. The Banker then makes a new offer.

NEW OFFER

Banker's offer:

£28,000

£28k isn't really much different really. That said, it's closer to the £30k I wanted.

Don't mind either decision here.

£28k isn't enough either. Still worth the gamble.

Ian gets advice from his mum and the wings. Jim tells Ian that all the big wins have only been won by people who have dared to play on, and you can only win the big amounts by playing on.

Ian says

DEAL

Four of the power five still in play. I feel a big mistake coming on. Hopefully it won't be.

Noel says Ian is looking pretty happy at the moment, but wonders if the Banker has played a brilliant mind game there by talking about Neil's game, and Ian could have made a big mistake by instead of taking out the 3 highest amounts next, he could take out the 3 lowest amounts!

Noel calls a break before the proveout rounds.

Neil's final 8

10p, £750, £10,000, £20,000, £50,000, £75,000, £100,000, £250,000.

He dealt £35k.

I think this is probably a slightly better decision as the board is weaker. Might have been worth the gamble but not a terrible decision.

First game I've seen in a week and was enjoying the extra edits, but I'm a bit disappointed he's dealt. He'll have to do a lot of damage next time to get an OPW. But still, fair enough becuase a poor round could have forced him on, especially as he upset the banker, and any box value on the board is still winnable, (10p and £1), even if the board does appear strong, so I'm still going to be unhappy with any posts like those made in Sobia's thread........

I'll say it now, before any more boxes are opened I would have gone on!

4 big reds means it's a coinflip on how this next round will go. Take out the £250k or even the £100k and £75k and he won't regret the 5-box offer too much.

We're back

Noel talks about 2011 being the year of missed opportunities so far as people have made the wrong decisions and walked away from the chance to win big money, and Ian has probably had the best chance of winning big so far.

Round 5 - Proveout round

12 - £100,000 Nwebie Beryl

4 - £1 Hannah

Who clapped asks Noel! Ian picks Derrick next but the Banker calls first and says this needs to be the £250,000 as otherwise Ian would have made a big mistake!

21 - £75,000 Derrick

Banker time

the average is pretty much the same. Much more top heavy now. There's no reason the offer should go up here. Prob will for guilt trip purposes...

That wouldn't have been enough says Noel, but it is spooky that you have nearly done the same as Neil did in his game.

Banker's offer would've been:

£35,000

I'm more psychic than I thought. £35k here would be believable...

and it is. And I'm taking this.

meh. £35,000 is a bit high in my view. Not too unreasonable though and certainly not the usual lies.
