Lucie's game today.

Noel says DoND has a slightly different feel to it, including how the show is now bigger. He talks about how the banker is real, and he plugs the banker's Twitter account again, and says those who make the most interesting 'tweets' may end up on the show!

Lucie has box 10.

Lucie is from London, and is a clinical psychologist. She talks a bit about her job and explains what's involved, including working with both children and adults. We get to see a pic of Lucie with her brother who's just graduated, and another pic of her mum. Lucie also shows a pic of her partner Nicole who's in the audience today, and she says they both live with her mum at the moment, and would like money to get a place of their own.

Noel says this could be interesting as Lucie's a psychologist and the banker is as well.

Here we go...

Noel says that's an opening round that lots of people would dream about. The banker says he's had quite a morning and is covered in black paint, as Nicole's trousers look like her legs have been painted. He then says he reckons Scott and Mia have something going on. He says he's been dreading Lucie's game.

Banker's offer:

£9,500

Well we're not going to get a repeat of yesterday's poor offer generosity today.

Noel says this is looking like a 'struggle game'. Noel talks about how Lucie helps people with anxiety in her work, and questions her about how she's remaining calm herself, and she talks about 'catastrophising'. The banker says he'd like to be 'The Catastrophiser' and he thanks Lucie for that round.

Banker's offer:

£950

There's still a big block of reds on the board and the 1p gone. No need to be depressed about this game yet.

Hmm... Noel says it's going to be a struggle and then says he thinks Lucie will win big... :?

But then, as Simon has pointed out, she does have that red block - and an all-blue round now can only make things better still.

Still hard to judge the offer patterns, or whether the ADP has moved to 5-box, based on this game's early stages. Part 3 will be far more revealing.

Watching this live, it does feel like it's a little more like it would be at the studio. I don't know if that's a good or a bad thing, but it does mean there's almost no room for Noel to hide behind the editing suite if he says anything silly and/or manipulative, so we should get a much fairer gauge than before as to what he's really like, as the 45-minute episodes did get quite heavily edited, and I understand that sometimes either leading or cautionary remarks got edited out or emphasised.

The game itself is reminding me more than a little of £75k Irene, but realistically this is looking like a teen-thousand game.
