If you're going to hit that block, the top of it is the best place. :)

Noel could yet be right about about Lucie winning big...

The banker says he doesn't like that block of reds and he says he's worried Lucie will do something rash, and he talks about what he's seen in her eyes.

Banker's offer:

£15,000

Noel then says the offer's actually...

Banker's offer:

£17,000

Lucie asks her partner and she says it's an amazing and generous offer, but she thinks there's one more go in it.

Lucie says

NO DEAL

£17k is a really good offer. Inverse 3-box game tactics apply here. Likelihood is she'll take out 2 reds - depends which ones though.

Well Noel's mucking about with the offers hasn't gone away - and is no less irritating than before... :x

The last offer should have been 15k and this one should have been 18.5k

Very interesting to see that Noel was playing the hypothetical have-you-made-a-mistake game after a No Deal. I'm sure I said ages ago on the forum that if he could do that one way he had to do it the other, and apparently he noticed. ;)

One of the two blues is great; one of the two Power 5s is clearly bad; one of the other two, and the round is about in line with realistic expectations, and a small rise - presumably to twenty grand - would be pencilled in.

If this next box is a blue, the next offer should be at least £20k. £15k or £20k in the next box would just about be OK.

So 60% chance of a guaranteed £15k. This offer will have to high enough to try and counteract that.

With just one blue there and four reds, as usual, worth going on.

£22k?

I kind of expected Old Faithful there...

I'd be tempted to go for it.

EV is slightly over £22k.

Dropped the offer to £20k. Makes it an easier no-deal now.

Lucie's partner says they'd been talking about a sum of money that would be ideal. The banker phones back and speaks to her. He drops the offer...

Banker's offer:

£20,000

Lucie says that would cover one dream but not all of them. The banker then speaks to Lucie, and he thinks she's pretending to go on.
