Brian chooses the GREEN snowman and it's SANTA :smt114

The RED snowman also contains the SANTA

The YELLOW snowman contains the SCROOGE

I don't think the santa will help him much with whats left. The banker can afford to still keep the offers very low

All about keeping the £35k in...oh and it went after the deal!

£17.50

The banker says turning down £5,000 was very brave indeed. Noel says we'll find out about the holiday in a moment.

Brian has 50p in his box 16

So, despite the huge trainwreck, we get an OPW out of it! :)

Talk about last-ditch effort...

Box 7 with Dave contains the £50

Brian chooses the GREEN gift box, and it's LOSE so he doesn't win the holiday.

The banker phones and says that was a banker spanking and wonders if Brian wants a Christmas gamble. He wonders how much Brian would give back of his winnings for a 50:50 chance of winning the holiday. Brian says £250, and the banker says DEAL.

Banker's offer:

BANKER'S CHRISTMAS GAMBLE

Brian effectively says

DEAL and he gives back £250 of his winnings

Brian chooses the YELLOW gift box and it's WIN :D

He wins the holiday for 2 for a week to Fuerteventura :xmas:

His total winnings are £8,000 and the holiday

Didn't expect that twist either, a good game to start the week. Now we just need a massive win before the end of the year

Not sure if he got the £250 back that he gambled to win the holiday but for simplicity (and Mister Al's) sake, let's call that a £8,250 OPW, which given the start he had, was a pretty good result for the game.

Think the deal was sensible unless he was prepared to open his box (the offer would have been the EV of the 2-box offer if you reckoned the £35k/blue offer to be around £12k, which would have been more than generous for the board) and the gamble at the end was a no-brainer given the holiday would have been worth more than double the amount gambled to win it.
