Well done, James! I have to say that's probably the game I've enjoyed the most so far, of all the shows I've seen! Lately it really does seem that the players who are pretty quiet in the wings (Jainie, Fran and now James) produce the great shows - I loved every minute!

Haven't posted on these "Today's Show" things for a while but this show really deserves a few posts I feel! So pleased it turned out well for James, it really took some guts to deal that early with everyone telling him to go on.

To be honest, I know a lot of people on the forum have been saying lately that it makes it less exciting if the player goes on, but I have to say this is, for want of a better word, a bit selfish - I'd rather see the player happy and a less exciting game every time. Luckily enough, this game was both!

Yay James :-D

One of the best games I've seen in a while. I'll admit I was with the contestants and most of the audience that he should have said No Deal at that point, but James was the smartest guy there in the end.

Also liked it when Noel went and hid at the back of the studio and James had to go and find him. :D

I'm sure Noel will be reminding future players that dealing early on isn't always a bad thing becuase of this.

That was an entertaining and quite different show, I couldn't understand his decision on that board but I guess the upside potential was limited by the loss of the £250k, and as it turned out it would have gone wrong had he played on!

We did get to see more of the other contestants as well, which has to be a good thing. Just hope it doesn't encourage too many of them to deal very early - while shows like today's are a refreshing change we still want to see that first £250k winner or another £100,000 game!

I don't think it will encourage too many to deal early - all of the contestants were in favour of going on!

These sort of games are still in the minortiy, but a bit of variation is a good thing!

Amongst all the games we've had without a single tempting offer, that was a wonderful contrast.

So the last two games have been early deals producing great results, and they were so much more entertaining than the games where players have been virtually bullied into taking their box. I hope this is a sign of a move towards more 'positive' entertainment for the show in the future, but I'm not going to bet on it :(

Congratulations James, always nice to see a fellow Yorkshireman do well! Even though I too thought he dealt waaay too early (Sorry James  ) he proved everyone wrong and got a fantastic sum of money. I think it was a great game that had tension, humour and an awful first round salvaged by a good beating of the banker!

Excellent. Enjoy the money James!

Most entertaining game for a while.

I was surprised he dealt at the time he did, I would've carried on.

He did a great deal however so a perfect game

"Please don't cheer if I hit a red, it really gets on my nerves!"

Just remembered that - quality! That's exactly what I'd say if it were my show.

Yep, same here.

Well done James. A great show, both in game terms and in humour. I was one of those who believed you went too early but i was proved wrong!

That frightened me - if someone massages me, i always end up with shoulder pain and it really isnt worth it.

I find massage uncomfortable too, but that was funny. And his demands for the audience not to cheer at reds was wonderful... of course, the next box was £250,000, and the audience doesn't need telling what to do there!

The game was brilliant! It was nice to see him come out of himself a bit more too, as he had been very quiet up until that point! And what a brilliant deal at exactly the right time!
