A fair banker would be offering close to 5 figures or perhaps low 5-figures here.

Banker's offer:

£7,000

£7k? A prime example of wanting to know what the offer will be if the £75k stays here before making the decision.

The Banker says that Lilly has got to take that. Christopher says that if Lilly is a gambler then she has to go on. Bryan says that it is a risky board but if it was him he would have a crack at it. Lilly again talks about only being here once.

Lilly says

NO DEAL

OHO philosophy then. It's not the worst decision in the world but it's a gamble.

Round 6

Lilly asks if she can do this quickly and Noel asks her not to. Lilly struggles with her box choices

17 - £100 Jonathan

Is it going to be your day asks Noel. The Banker calls and says this has come out of nowhere. He then asks Lilly to not open the last box!

Banker's offer:

£17,500

£17,500?

Quick calculation, £1,500, £18k, £35k minimum possible outcomes - average £18k)

Tough call. Think I'd take it though.

Lilly goes to Bryan, and he says he would be really tempted with this. Lilly says she really wants to go for it though. The Banker calls and asks to speak to Lilly.

Lilly says

DEAL

There's a BG possibilty if the £10k goes (or else a £20k+ plus proveout offer)

Lilly calls herself an idiot. The Banker says that he is good.

Banker's offer would've been:

£33,500

I am gutted and should have just gone for it says Lilly.

Box 10 with Savy contains the £10,000

Lilly says she will kick herself when she gets home, but she is over the moon with the £17,500

£33.5k? Fair enough and another power 5 comes to the table this week.

She took a sensible deal at 3-box but a different player who couldn't afford to have risked £17.5k on what would have been a gamble at 3-box with a chance of doubling her money, a stick or having to take a 50/50 shot of a blue, may have taken the gamble. 2-box gamble was justifiable too.

Well, if you're going to make comments about a player 'going all the way', at least that one about Maryanne was funny, and not meant in a gameplay context at all. What does it say about the last five years of the show, and/or my state of mind, that I instantly got tetchy about reading that before I got it?

Good start, anyway, and the offer is reasonable, albeit a little short of recent generosity patterns. The jackpot going is, of course, painful, but it's good to see Lilly hasn't prepared a silly break link. With the block of four she has, she doesn't have to be the big gambler she claims to be in order to play deep into the game. Assuming, of course, that block remains largely intact.

Which, of course, it doesn't. Two-box game at 11-box, and a sensible offer could be dealt here. Needless to say, we don't get one. As for the next round, the only good thing you can say about it is that we've lost the psychologically important 1p just in time for the ADP, so the escape route might be open. It just about is, but I think most people would instinctively play on, without really thinking about whether it's a good idea. So does Lilly.

Good round, well-pitched five-box offer, I might quit here, Lilly's entitled not to. I just hope that philosophy of hers is from within and not from without - and as she's just set up her own business, that seems a safer assumption than usual.

Blue... blue... BONUS OFFER! Can't we just make four-box and three-box offers permanent already? I'd take it, she won't... oh hello, she will! I think Bryan's influence is being felt here. And already, Noel is implicitly assuming she made a bad decision, which sets up the £20k+ hypothetical lie on £50/£75k. We don't even get that, we get the all-red, with £75k in the box, and you can't help but think the producers will be watching Lilly's self-beration with glee.

Almost the worst possible way to lead into a twist week.

I don't know what it is, but they always seem to be doing stuff in Sunday games to annoy me/look suspicious. There was the enforced hypo-swap for Bharti, and a SWAP-only with Anji, they didn't do anything in Gina's game, but on this occasion it was Lilly saying she wanted to get all three boxes opened after 5-box quickly (she'd seemed to already have made her mind up which one on the wings she wanted to keep) and then Noel stopped her, and it's the first time I think he's ever stopped anyone from doing a quickie, and it looked to me like the banker/producer team had a word in his ear to stop her doing it, as that 3-box offer was planned subject to the £75k still being there then (which it obviously would be if it was on the table)!!!!

Oh god, I'm turning into a worse cynic than KP!!!! :D
