Well you are still in the big money league says Noel. The Banker asks to speak to Linda, and he asks Linda what she would want, Linda tells him £20,000 would be reasonable.

This is back to where we were earlier when the Banker said you shouldn't play on says Noel. Linda's partner says that the £6,000 is real money and she has to decide what she would do with that, or would she be happy with the 1p

Well the 2-box deal was sort of a "on-the-fence" decision but it gives her a TPW

Ooh, quiet on here today! Quite an intense game there, Linda was quite anxious throughout and 'not wanting to let anyone down', and there was a shaky moment at 14-box when I thought she might deal (although if she had, it would've been an OPW assuming we didn't get inflated proveout offers which we probably would!) £6k wasn't a particularly great deal, but at the same time going away with the penny would have been dreadful for her (and indeed for most people, but I mean she'd have taken it particularly badly I think).

A classic case of the player giving too much financial information to the banker. The 2-box offer ought to be have been closer to £10k but £6k was enough to get her out the chair.

The first couple of rounds showed great promise but it went rapidly down hill after that.

Linda did come across as quite nervous and edgy and i suspect with a stronger board she would have dealt the third or fourth offer, I think it was only the memory of her earlier offers which kept her pressing on as long as she did once the game turned sour

Personally i felt the £6,000 final offer was a little on the low side - especailly after the relatively brave 5 box no deal - and many a player would have been goaded on by that, but the Banker read Linda perfectly, brave as she was she wasn't prepared to risk going away with 1p.

And at least it was the blue in her box. That's what really matters

i thought linda played a fairly good game today, she avoided being in the 1p club, which is always good
and i think the emotional significance she placed on the game was astounding!
my favorite game of the new series so far.
