Round 5 (proveout)

Ovie says that's a lot of money to him. The banker rings and says the movie he's watching is now all about DoND's biggest loser!

Danny first, and he says he's had £250,000 a lot. Noel says he's bound to have 1p now!

5 - Danny - 1p

15 - Dan - £50

The banker rings and says he'd have phoned here, to say if the next box is blue, the next offer will be over £25,000.

3 - Haj - £250,000

Banker time

Noel says this is extraordinary, as this is now a banker spanking! Noel says the banker is the star actor in the movie he's watching now!

Banker's offer would've been:

£925

The banker says the film changed from a comedy to a tragedy!

Banker's offer would've been:

Well I would have crashed and ended up opening my box with those two poor offers!

£3,000 I'd have been more than happy with!

Great game, thoroughly deserved for Ovie!

Box 17 with Stephen contains the 10p

Noel says Ovie can't have any regrets as £6,000 as the peak of his game, and Ovie says that'll do so much for him.

Brilliant, an OPW that came from out of nowhere! :D

This one has potential to be game of the month!

Great game. Not a big money game by any stretch of the imagination, but it was an OPW so who can complain? I'm glad Ovie got the result, it would have been very harsh for someone like him to be the biggest loser.

Can totally see why he dealt at £6k today (even if it was a poor offer for the board). Just glad the banker didn't make any sort of guarantee for the £25k at 8-box though.

I'd have to say that was a lucky OPW but we've had so much bad luck recently that who cares?

Don't believe for a second the banker would have offered £25k for a £250k/oranges/blues last 5 in active play. Given this player I'm sure the banker playing the game properly would have offered £15k tops. Finding it third box after THAT call was a great "fingers up" moment!!! :)

I only watched snippets of this due to being more interested in the British Open Golf but I could tell it was really tense - I knew Ovie's circumstances and as the game developed I thought that was the worst possible board for a player like that to get. I remember Dave for early in the year having similar circumstances but he got a solid block of reds after losing the £250k early - this was the exact opposite. While £6k isn't life-changing to most of us, it probably is to Ovie and I'm sure he got twice (or much more in KP's case :) ) what most of us would have!!
