Jodie's game today.

Noel talks about the dreams of the current contestants, including Cheryl's dream of shoes and Ralph's dream of owning a motorbike and Jo's dream of owning a monkey!

Jodie is an assistant crime scenes investigator from Bristol, and she says her job is rewarding and every day is different, but it can be quite challenging. We get to see a pic of Jodie's brother Daniel who is autistic and she explains that he can't read, and she'd love to help him to learn to read by paying for lessons for him. Jodie also shows a pic of her cat, and another pic of her tortoise!

She explains that her tortoise likes being rubbed and asks Noel if he wants a rub. She gives him one of her tortoise rubs, and Noel does a terrifying tortoise impression and Jodie rubs him under his chin!! Jodie's dad Andy is in the audience today.

A disturbing scene in the Paintworks complex. A veteran television presenter is alarmingly rubbed under his chin by a young photogenic female under the pretext of a game show. Who's to blame? Welcome to CSI: Bristol!

Ahem. Not keeping number 7 to the end isn't good, but the rest of the round is superb, as is the offer. Maybe Jodie will be chasing losses later in the game if £250k goes? She'll probably have enough low reds to ch... well, there goes £15k, but it's OK, more reds than blues on this board. Above-average in all respects, but we will probably see a reversion to moderate generosity here... pretty much, just a £1,000 increase. Freely quoting matt26's pet hate DoND trope ("you're only here once" as a reason for recklessness) and then having a round free of any big hits will trigger a much bigger offer at 11-box. It does, and that probably warranted a bit of thought. If it were just a grand higher, that may have been forthcoming, but £19k is high enough to look tempting but - by virtue of being below the psychological breakpoint of One Rock - low enough that it won't get dealt too often pre-ADP with £250k and backups.
