Adam's girlfriend tells him to follow his heart, and he says he was going to keep 3 and 6 to the end.

The banker phones back and says he recognises Adam's dilemma. If Adam says NO DEAL, he'll let Adam open 2 boxes, and then he'll phone and he MIGHT make an offer! The banker phones back again and says he's decided what he'll do when he phones after 2 boxes, but he's not telling us his decision!

Lee says he thinks the £2,000 offer is good for the board, but he says it's risky that the banker is being unpredictable. Mikey says it's a good offer and there are more blues than reds. Steve reminds everyone of the card with box 22 on it. The banker phones back again and says he's decided again what to do after 2 boxes, and he WILL make an offer.

The current offer is still £2,000

Adam says

DEAL

The banker says the extra offer would've sucked Adam into a trap!

Banker's offer would've been:

£99

Well that was one of those lucky last minute escapes but still this was terrible, I'm still preparing the crown for Ramesh as "Season 5's Highest winner", cause it seems like no one's gonna win more than £77,000 ;)

We might talk about love, but it's a numbers game, so please welcome someone who handles finances!

Third game in a week with £250k going first... followed by, hang on, the first time we've started that way since lustful male forumer favourite Joey back in December 2006?!? At least we take out two of the other Power 5 at the end.

Not sure how useful it is to be removing tiny blues, but it's some welcome relief; offer is reasonable but not dealable. Oh goodness this is horrendous luck. Noel is already reduced to asserting that high blues are useful, which just about says it all.

Can it get worse? Yes. Round 5 is a bit better... hang on, three-box offer but no four-box offer? Well it makes more sense than the other way round.

BANG! WALLOP! He's avoided an almost unavoidable trainwreck! I suspect Ramesh will be the highest winner of the season, but I'm tempted to calculate the chances of the statement being true based on experimental probability - taking the probability of there being a bigger win based on how many bigger wins there've been in all the episodes to date, and then calculating the probability that no games left in the season are bigger. Might be interesting... ;)

Today's game? At least it wasn't a blue win.

I liked Adam, he seemed to go largely unnoticed on here, but I guess that's what happens when you replace someone like Natalie on the wings.

The luck was terrible throughout but taking out the lower blues meant that hopefully there'd at least be one small-stakes offer worth considering, and it was at least some reward for considering it!

Overall, Adam took his misfortune well and I'm glad he got something out of what was essentiallly a trainwreck. The last few weeks have recalled bad eras, but at least we know that's down more to things essentially out of the players' control (i.e. the [un]kindness of the boxes) rather than a couple of years ago when players were letting themselves become overwhelmed by the occasion of being in the chair and dealing any old offer. Will someone win more than Ramesh this season? Who knows. But so far, it's been the boxes that have stopped that happening more than the players' mindsets - and there's the difference.

Yes indeed, what the show needs is a £1,000 blue challenge week, where all 11 blue amounts are £1,000 and everything in the red the same as normal (Have lowest red being £2,000)

It should give the players more chance of calling the right decisions and winning huge amounts a lot more, plus there would be no regrets going to the end if it's a disaster cause of there would be £1,000 guaranteed

Well done Adam for avoiding the trainwreck which probably most people would have had! He even managed a technical draw with the banker with the peak offer being only £4k. I'm sure the promise of an offer at 3-box would have sucked most people into going on I must admit!

You might as well put a paddling pool outside the studio, put a toy shark in it and have Noel jump over it as the intro to the show if they ever do that.

Nice dodging of the complete trainwreck today to get a technical draw.
