Clive is retired and is from County Durham. Noel explains he's made a career out of being made redundant, as he's lost many jobs including jobs involving bearings, batteries, paint, radiators and golf! Clive explains that he currently sells golf equipment and he loves meeting new people in his job.

Clive has a good-luck chess piece that his son made with him, and his son is in the audience today. Clive also has a soft-toy frog on his box and he tells Noel not to touch it! Clive explains that he decided with his friends that it'd be the lucky charm for his game, and he has various positions for the frog depending on whether each box is good or bad!

The banker asks if Clive is a Geordie, and he says what's the difference between a kangaroo and a kangaroot, and he says one is an Aussie animal and one is a Geordie stuck in a lift - "can't get out!!".
