Lisa is from West Yorkshire, and lives in a place called Netherthong which gets some giggles.

I read about Netherthong the other day and thought what a weird name it is for a place...!

Hey! I've got a cousin who lives in Netherthong!
Only a very small place so she probably knows Lisa!

We seem to have hit a run of blues coming to the table this week.

I think Lisa got out just in time and while i normally give the show the benefit of the doubt where proveout offers are concerned even i find it hard to credit the Banker would have gone up after she took the £100k out of the game - clearly that offer had more to do with 'stirring things up' between Lisa & her husband than the actual board (something that might have been more interesting had he been in the audience)

Anyway it was a red win, cautious or not. Another player going home with one of the Banker's P5 would have been too much to bear

Wow, I was actually beginning to forget what it was like for someone to win something ending in "thousand pounds" and not sell a power 5 box in the process. :D

Actually I have seen similar offers to that £19k 8-box offer in active play, I remember Jon who played just before th summer break in '07 (so we were out of the Wakey Winter) being offered £20k at 8-box where the only reds were £250k, £35k and £5k, needless to say which one was in his box after he dealt.....

Forgot that one. Thanks for reminding me. :( Actually someone related to him tweeted me a few months ago - after I'd replied to their tweet about his game when I saw it searching for DoND on Twitter - and said that Noel didn't like him much...!

I could believe £16,500 at eight-box here actually, but not £19k.
