Noel says Lee did a Mary and spanked the banker.

Lee has £100 in his box 10.

Box 3 with David contains the £5

Well, chalk up another 8-Box deal that worked out amazingly in the end, but I do hope this doesn't start a trend, cause one day, there could be an 8-Box deal which goes horribly wrong

I don't think most of us needed the banker to tell us that the BG was going to be offered if he kept the £75k in play to the end. Fortunately with a blue on the table, unless he had dealt the BG and not swapped, it was always going to be a great result.

Intresting intro by Noel today - lecturing against targetism on boards where the offer isn't good enough for the board (although it does contradict his closing statements sometimes when a player deals what is right for them but not for the board).

Mister Al - thanks for working those odds out, I'd have got a headache trying to do so.

Good game, a slightly cautious deal maybe but the board was precarious and it proved to be the right decision in retrospect.

I do love unfathomable systems too, they make the game much more entertaining

Another player that managed to make a slightly cautious 8-box deal stick, is that bracelet still being passed around?! :D Didn't really see the point of the BG being announced early as it was obvious (at least to us stats-minded people) that it would be the case on that finish, and there was virtually no chance he would take it, no matter how much time the banker gave him to think about it.

Well I liked Lee when I didn't think I would from his time on the wings, and nice to see him destroy the board after dealing, though I have to admit at the time he dealt, I did want him to go on, even though it would have been much more of a harder decision than the 8-box that Mary had yesterday. Since Zaid's big gamble gone wrong (and Beryl's too I guess), there have been LOTS of deals for £20k-ish (on various boards) punctuated by the odd trainwreck like Emily's and Emma's, so I would not criticise anyone who says it's all a bit samey at the moment! :)

I too didn't realy know what I wanted to see from 5-box, the worst scenario was for it to have been in his box though, as I doubt he would have gambled. (Or he takes the gamble and it's in Box 3 and he doesn't swap!)

By the way, what is it with all these £x,250 or £y,750 offers they're coming up with lately? It seems to me they've been specificially calculated to be an exact amount required to be just enough to get someone to deal?

Decent enough game. I liked Lee so was glad to see him go away with a decent sum.
