Relentless bad luck.

It seems at the moment the good boards are falling to the cautious players and the train-wrecks are happening to people I expect could've gone on and won big if the boxes were kinder.

Unlucky Dan! Good on ya for putting on a brave face.

What a ghastly game for luck, although you have to admire the way Dan took the run he was having, which made it a perversely entertaining comedy trainwreck! He can't have any regrets as there was no get-out offer really.

What an unlucky game. If you dismiss the first two offers as being just for show (since no one's ever going to take one), that was a 2k-high game. The only offer worth anything close to considering was the 5-box offer of 2k, and even then with the promise of an offer after every box, almost everyone would have gone on.

Also, has anyone else noticed that almost every time someone deals a joke offer with two blues remaining, they almost always seem to have the higher blue in their box?

If only Dan and Barbara had each other's games...would've made a much more happier viewing

There have been some unlucky games lately but that was a 24-carat hall-of-famer.

Perversely enjoyable though for the way Dan shrugged off the bad luck and for that soul destroying final round - which would have been painful enough without the offer after box

One of the more comedy trainwrecks, and far more watchable than Sunday.

Dan took it so well, and I respect him for that. He went to play the game and he did that with no regrets. It's just a shame the luck was never there. I'd have liked to see him face a board like Barbara's...

I don;t think Barbara playing Dan's game would have been much cop either to be honest, though she may have dealt for a thousand or so - but she would have taken the misfortune ten times worse than Dan did!

Sounds like a good game to miss because of watching a game live.
