Round 6 (proveout)

Noel says Haz could still get a banker spanking.

11 - Harold - £5

12 - Chris - £10,000

Noel says that's not good enough!

19 - Carmine - £35,000

Banker time with £10 and £50,000 remaining

The banker says he's made a new resolution not to put players under a lot of pressure in the future! Noel says he's broken the resolution already...

Banker's offer:

BANKER'S GAMBLE

This is possibly worth taking but with £10 as consolation, I think I'd no deal this.

Courtney says she has a really lucky feeling about Haz! Noel tells Haz to stay focussed.

Noel's about to ask the question and the banker phones. He says that Haz should say "no deal" as he doesn't have the guts to say "deal"!

Haz says NO DEAL

He keeps the £12,000

Argh, first player out of possibly many this year should have just been a bit more brave.

Ah well. Still a red win anyhow.

Box 22 with Tina contains the £10

Haz says he knew he had the £50,000 but he didn't want to say it and jinx it! He says he couldn't risk £12,000 on it though, and thought before the game that he may win £12,000! He says sorry to everyone for not winning them the bubbly! :P The banker phones back and says everyone can have a bottle of bubbly each anyway. :D

Noel says we're now going to go behind the scenes, so stay tuned!

The key quote from Haz was that he wasn't prepared to risk the £12k. He made the right decision for him which is the key thing.

I didn't warm to Haz very much and I was pleased that was an OBW TBH. I don't like the banker's gamble - it is a disgusting way of rewarding cowardice.

We get to see lots of quick clips of games from this year! They also show some longer clips of Mary's, Alice's, Lisa's, Margaret's, Joe's and Corinne's games.

We get to see Jane in the costumes department, showing us all the 1960s costumes for Love Week; as well as some shots of the set team preparing the set for the summer week and Halloween week.

Finally, they show us shots of the coach bringing the contestants in in the morning, the green room, the make-up room, and lots of clips of everyone preparing to record a show...

The £12k deal at 8 box was cautious, the same offer at 5 box would have been an easy deal for me on a 3 red, 2 blue board. The only way to have won significantly more than Haz did today would have been to either have kept 2 of the 4 reds in play at 8 box to 2 box (a 11% chance) or to have gambled on the red/blue finish either in play or via the banker's gamble.

That was great today, probably my favourite new year game.

Love the new graphics for the new year, cool. The behind the scenes compilation was the perfect way to finish the game off.

What a laugh Haz was as well, well done on the £12,000.

AND Happy New Year Everyone! :smt023

Funniest game of the year so far! If not of the decade!

Would anybody say Haz could've said no deal if Glenda and Jardi didn't jump in?

I think he would've dealt at £11,000 anyway.

Whoops. Yes was thinking 6/56 instead of 6/28.

Liked the new look on the amounts and some of the new graphics, very stylish 8)

But starting off the new year with an TBW isn't what I had in mind...

Wow what a game! The banker's doing very well when it comes to reading the contestant, I must say. I have no idea what I'd have done there myself. I don't think I'd have taken the 8-box offer given the stability of the board, but as for 5-box and 2-box... I'm not sure. I'd have probably turned it down at 5-box, but as for 2-box (assuming the offer was 12k once again)... I really don't know. It would be a poor offer, but that's a lot of money to risk on a coin flip...

Will the new graphics stay or is it just to fit in with the New Year Special? I think they rock! Hope they stay!

God, I wish I'd taped that one it was really funny, and such a great character to pad out an hour-long show on what was really a very average game otherwise. Similar to Jim R's game being an hour long and a trainwreck, the longer edits really did justice on this occasion. The touching wood, the underpants, him telling everyone to to say good luck,....it was hilarious. Though I could understand why some would find annoying, he was a bit Bunney-esque in his mannerisms.

Cautious deal and I think I may well have gone to the end, but I totally respect his decision as at the end he was still really happy with what he did win and didn't seem too regretful of the fact there was a much bigger amount in his box, the only way to get more was an all-or-peanuts gamble.

I was rather cursing Glenda and Jardi for both butting in though!

The champagne giveaway reminded me of the 2nd birthday show where they went over the top in trying to give it away, and don't think the value of a bottle for every pilgrim would have been the different of the revised offer, so I thought everyone got a bit short-changed there! (Until they just give it away anyway regardless)

Don't like the new graphics either, I liked the difference in shades of each colour and now they've gone, the colours of the box inserts looks too dark, and they seem to be faded around the middle where the amount of money is.

Loved the montage at the end though!
