Oh dear, what a shame for Peggy, another lively pensioner but sadly not the decent win of yesterday. The banker told the truth on frankly a board where he didn't need to lie, and even though the swap worked out, it was scant consolation really. Still, she enjoyed her experience at the Dream Factory, and she has that Ferrari experience to look forward to...

But it was a bit gutting that the giveaway prize to H was worth more than Peggy won, and that she didn't get the holiday - I thought with the Santa/ Scrooge setup this year, we'd have about 6 Santas and 3 Scrooges in the 9 shows, surely the next player can pick a Santa!

Well at least the "why are they showing hour shows on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day" speculation is nullified now we know that the shows were planned for that length before they were filmed.

(Not that I have any idea whatsoever about the events of the rest of this week's shows)

You know, this sounds like a conspiracy theory, but I do wonder whether the Banker actually does look at the box at all. He'll either lie or tell the truth, so could really claim anything he wants and it wouldn't make much difference. Maybe they just walk off stage, change the seal and put it back again...

Nope, he doesn't need to look in the box because he already knows what is in all the boxes - the seal is just changed.

Hmm, for the second day running the recipient of the previous show's mystery prize is called to the crazy chair. What are the odds of it being H's game tomorrow?

Peggy was a lovely lady but she never really had a chance, the boxes were against her pretty much from the start. She never even got an offer in 5 figures. Not a lot you can do with a game like that except ride it out.

Poor Beth is getting a bit of a reputation I fear, even when she doesn't have the £250k in her box she still seems to take out the top of the board She's only been there a week and that's the 4th time at least she's done it.

The problem with Freddie getting the gift at the end yesterday was that it meant the banker was unlikely to do it again today. And unfortunately, as it turned out, today's game was one which would've benefited from an extra gift at the end, especially as the banker claimed to like Peggy so much.

It's such a shame that Peggy only went away with a blue, as she was such a great character like Helen and Freddie recently. So that's 3 times in the last 5 days that an entertaining older player has played their game; 2 of them winning a blue. And Freddie only escaped a blue win by swapping...

Bah, that was a dud of a game. Two P5s going in the opening round, two nightmare rounds in one game, one of which went top-down, couldn't even find the Santa. Anything that could go wrong did, and emphatically so.

Oh well. Dust ourselves off and try again tomorrow.

I missed out on Peggy's game today, and by the sounds of it I'm glad I did. It sounds like it was a very depressing sort of game. No real decisions to make, just enough money to regret losing it (well, for me anyway), failing to find the Santa at 5-box.... You'd need another Beryl to have got something decent out of that game.

I think that Ferrari driving experience was probably worth more than what she won in this game. :|
