WIN! :)

Didn't see this one again (yes I'm missing a lot of games at the moment, due to a lot of other stuff!) but... it sounds like I'd have wanted to get in the TV and strangle Noel much I did in a lot of March & April 2007. :)

In other words, a very good one to miss. I got annoyed just reading the recap!!

£15k on the board he had sounds like a tough decision either way for me, but if I'd been in his position, I'm almost certain I'd have taken it. Another reason apart from the box contents that there isn't the negativity towards Paul compared to Zoe was his board was weaker than hers when he dealt, and I can't speak for anyone else but I get the feeling anyone who's been unemployed for more than a few weeks will be able to imagine themselves in his place.

As someone who's been in the graduate job-hunting scrum for a while, just last week coming out the other end with a good job that I start next month, I certainly appreciate the sentiment. I still need to recalibrate my utility curve, I should probably be turning down £25,500 let alone £15,000 in my new situation mapped onto my previous basis for my utility curve, especially if I'd known £3k/£75k would produce a fair bit more than a stick (I'd be anticipating a Banker's Gamble, swiftly followed by a No Deal, if I'd dealt the £25,500 to leave that finish!).

Paul and Zoe had similar boards but for the rather non-trivial difference that Zoe had £250k in play. :) Actually, Zoe had another Power 5 as well didn't she?

Just watched this on 4OD. I certainly can't fault the deal. It wasn't that bad an offer for the board at the time. It was a better offer than the one Zoe took in her game.

Noel annoyed me a little bit as well. Very Wakeyist behaviour. Hopefully it won't continue.
