Hmm, I wonder if the old man would offer the swap on the basis she will go all the way.

The other box remaining is box 8 which is what is on Michelle's good luck card. She says she's had dreams of winning an amount connected with 8.

Banker's offer:

£18,000

Tricky offer. I would probably deal this, though I'd be hating having to do so.

Michelle says she knows with the 1p still there, that's a very good offer and Noel says it's now a battle of beliefs, and talks about Michelle's dreams and the card. She says she knows people will think she should take it but £100k would pay her mortgage off! She says she'll never get another opportunity to win £100k like this.

Michelle says DEAL

Michelle says she was going to no deal, but was thinking of her husband's face!

Noel opens her box 10 and reveals £100,000

Should have just been a bit more brave and she would have got it! Ah well.

8 - newbie Eileen - 1p

Noel talks about the significance of box 8, and wonders whether Michelle would've swapped for 1p and she says she might have done!

AARGH oh well - didn't really expect more than 20K there but if it was less than 25K I'd have to go for it.

A strange game.

It started off looking like another non-game, but then out of nowhere had a very fair 8-box offer. Arguments could be made for taking it, and for not taking it.

She then had another joke offer at 5-box which forced her on.

And how she now must wish she had a joke offer at 2-box. Well pitched off from the banker. Psychologically, £18,000 is just too much money to turn down for most people.

Had she been more braver she would've kept here belief to her card, swapped the box and won nowt.

No it wasn't. It was a very poor offer. S'pose eighteen grand is a lot to risk but at under 20% of mean, it cannot, by any stretch, be described as a 'very good offer'.

Shows ya that Noel is really starting to lose the plot...

Don't forget The Banker's objective. I think him, Noel and the contestants on the show doesn't care less about the offer against the mean anymore. The offer was right for Michelle. If I was him, I was tempted to offer a mandatory swap on the basis she would "go all the way if the big amounts are there", but if I had to offer something then it would've been no higher than £20,000.
