Spike has box 14 today. Frank (Spike) is an ex-football referee and also worked in the airforce, he met his wife while in the airforce and she is in the audience for support today, and Spike tells the story of how he met his wife. His son is also in the audience for support.

Spike shows a picture of him in the Airforce, and another of his granddaughter, and he says how he owes her £5 after he bet with her that he wouldn't get on the show.

Spike is quite happy as it is still balanced at the moment. The Banker comments on how seriously Spike is playing today, and says he has had to work hard today with his offers for Spike, and he in now going to try and get inside of Spike's head. He is going to try and think of the figure that Spike is looking for now and add a little bit on top to get Spike to leave. Spike says that he is not going to tell Noel what he is thinking and won't even write it in the book for Noel.

Noel now knows the offer and asks Spike what he thinks the Banker thought that Spike was thinking, Spike replies £15,000

Noel says it is fascinating how this battle is developing. Spike talks about not having a honeymoon and wants to celebrate his 50th Anniversary next year by renewing his vows at the church they got married in and then go on a luxury cruise for the honeymoon. He also wants to help his grand-daughter with her uni fees. Spike gets balanced adviced from the wings...

Noel says he won't accept Spike is right til after the proveout. If £17,500 is a lot to him then his deal is 100% right no matter the next boxes.
