Agree with jonny there, there's no proof that Paul's wife made him deal £22,000.

Another thing to note is that Paul's wife initially didn't want to come down to the table, and only did so when Noel and Paul specifically asked her to.

I am sorry guys but blaming Paul's wife for the decision to deal is out of order! Unless you have been on the walk of wealth and sat in the crazy chair you don't know what a lonely place it is. Family and friends in the wings can't make or influence your decision to deal or not. It's alright sat at home saying "ooh I wouldn't have delt, I would have carried on". Unless you are actually in the situation you don't know what you would have done. Paul said he was able to achieve what he wanted with the amount he won and that is the most important thing!

Personally i didn't feel that Paul's wife had an undue influence on his decision to deal, I certainly don't think she put pressure on hin to deal or that he felt obligated to because she was there.

My impression was that he did what he did for his family and that's not the same thing.

No.
Massively underselling a high-value box and winning blues equal failure in my eyes.
Thus, it was failure (to me, at least).

Mad Mark has always branded deal-for-a-nice-amount-with-one-of-the-top-four-in-the-box Epic Fails, even since Box 23 and Rob the Incinerator were still alive and not extinct.

I'll be honest. I was a little disappointed after this game. Yes, there is no evidence to suggest his wife had an effect on his decision but that little bit just bugged me a little.

Also, if he was there to seize the day, why deal at £22,000? Perhaps I'm just being cynical though...
